HAUTE COUTURE EMBROIDERY TECHNIQUE
This course is for anyone who wants to work on haute couture projects, or simply to learn this beautiful embroidery technique.
This course is about applying materials — leather, velvet, tulle and silk — onto silk organza. If you would rather embroider directly onto leather, see the Embroidery on Leather course.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
– Leather inlay with lettering and a raised edge, finished with bugles and sequin flowers
– Velvet inlay with soutache braid
– Inlay in leather, tulle and natural silk gauze, finished with Miyuki beads
– Silk inlay with flower-shaped sequins
– Raised cord in Miyuki beads
– Raised cord in silk cord
– Raised cord in raffia
– Raised cord in metal ribbon
– Raised cord in ribbon
– Raised cord in French wire
All mounted on natural silk organza.
This course lets you add a technique to your work as a designer or dressmaker, or simply learn a new way of finishing your own garments — with results that are unique and unmistakable. It is a technique you can build a professional career on.
The course is both theory, where I teach you the techniques, and practice, where you put them into your own hands.
It is a form of embroidery that asks for patience and precision. *The programme adapts to your pace and to what you most want to learn.

GOOD TO KNOW
– The course is taught one to one, entirely around you
– Some experience with the tambour hook is recommended
– All materials are included, except the frame
– The frame is provided for the duration of the course
– If you would like to take a frame home at the end, you can buy one directly from me.
Price: frame 40×60 cm (60 €, includes cotton tapes and mounting needles).

The atelier is in Bellaterra, 20 minutes from central Barcelona and 30 minutes from the airport.
